Winter has officially set in, and what better way to celebrate (or commiserate) than by sampling seasonally-inspired wines at Franschhoek Winter Wines 2019. Taking place on Saturday, 15 June – from 11am to 4pm – at Franschhoek Cellar, this annual event is a cosy favourite on the Franschhoek social calendar.
A fantastic selection of red wines will be available at this year’s Franschhoek Winter Wines, including Shiraz, Merlot, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon and other red blends. The cosy setting of the Franschhoek Cellar is the perfect location to mingle with the local Vignerons who will be showcasing their seasonal creations. A list of winemakers secured for the event includes Boschendal Wine Estate, Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons, Franschhoek Cellar itself, and many more.
Tickets for Franschhoek Winter Wines 2019 are available from Webtickets at R295 per person. This price includes a complimentary wine glass, a tasting of all the wines on show and a R20 voucher (to be redeemed on the day).
